How To Store Wine – The Kalorik WCL 20629

The temperature at which you keep wine is critical. Naturally, red wines tend to need to be kept at a warmer overall level than their white wine counterparts.

Since this is the case, the most effective types of wine coolers have “dual zone” functionality. For example, there’s the Kalorik wcl 20629. In this context, dual zone means there are 2 regions which are able to maintain different temperatures, independent of one another. By doing so, it allows for a broader range of wines to be preserved within the same refrigerator.

In the case of the Kalorik 18-bottle wine refrigerator, both temperature zones are digitally controlled. The upper level is purpose-built for bottles of white wine, having a temperature range between 44 and 54 degrees Fahrenheit. Meanwhile, the red wine section has a slightly warmer range, being between 54 and 64 Fahrenheit.

The interior lighting can also affect the internal temperature of a wine refrigerator too. Unfortunately the lights in some wine refrigerators can warm up quite a lot, causing “hot spots” to develop within the unit.

Fortunately, this isn’t even an issue for the wcl 20629. That’s because it uses very soft and low power LED lights that gently illuminate without affecting the internal temperature. The whole unit runs very efficiently too, needing only the same equivalent power as a 75-watt light bulb.

Yet another important factor in maintaining a steady internal temperature is insulation. There’s obviously a strong risk of air escaping through the door. However, the Kalorik 18-bottle wine cooler has been designed with this in mind. It uses both double-paned and reinforced tempered glass to stay as well insulated as possible.

Furthermore, a fan mounted at the back of this thermoelectric wine cooler helps maintain that the digitally-controlled temperature setting is distributed evenly throughout each of the zones.

When all these factors are combined, it’s easy to see how the Kalorik WCL 20629 works so well in keeping wines at their ideal temperature. And it does all this without making much sound at all, because the only moving parts are the fans as they circulate the cooling air.
