The online wine club gives the perfect balance of convenience, cost savings and the experience that comes from the endless pool of knowledge that is the World Wide Web. No actual stores mean much lower overheads, a saving that they then pass straight on to the consumer. But the fact they don’t have actual shops doesn’t mean that they are small fry. Because the clubs reach across the globe they have significant buying power and are able to secure bulk deals with many wineries further driving prices down.
